It’s been a while….

Being very active on social media on a regular basis I have been a little slack in updating this blog so here goes, a little round up of the past few months and what’s coming up “Chez Taxi Morzine”

How was winter 23/24?

It may not have been the snowiest of winters below 1600m but it certainly didn’t put clients off coming for what was our busiest winter season to date. This winter was the first season we have been operating with four drivers at weekends and I got so many fantastic messages on how Marie and Rob were great assets to our little company.

The demand for private airport transfers has never been so high. The hassle-free, door to door service means that you are at your accommodation often within a couple of hours of landing (post Brexit passport queues are totally out of my hands unfortunately!). ¨Private transfers are definitely the way to go when travelling with children, and quite often the price per person is more attractive than shared transfers (depending on how many of you are travelling of course).

I am a great believer of “if it isn’t broken, there is no need to fix it” so we will continue operating exclusively private airport and rail transfers.

And what happens in Spring?

We worked right until the end (and beyond) the lifts closing in Avoriaz this winter. In May we still have our regular medical work and there is still some demand for private airport transfers for locals heading on their holidays and from second home owners out to enjoy the peace and quiet. We did manage a much needed break in Porto in May and of course our workload is significantly lower in Spring.

What are we up to this Summer?

The eagle eyed among you may have noticed that Bike Shuttle Morzine has disappeared off social media. I will be posting about our mountain bike day trips on our regular Taxi Morzine Instagram and Facebook pages. The trailor is still going strong and we already have several bookings for groups who want to visit other bike parks in the region – Bernex, Samoens, Morgins, Verbier are all great trips from Morzine.

One thing I love about the summer season is that the work is so much more varied than in winter. Private airport and rail transfers take up 60% of our work (compared to +90% in the ski season). The rest of the time we have requests for anything from yoga retreats, transporting luggage for cycling/walking tours, activity holiday outings for children, trips down the valley for the rafting, day trips to Chamonix or Annecy, weddings, stag do’s, hen parties…..

And what about Winter 24/24?

Like I said above we will continue operating strictly private airport and rail transfers and there will be very little change to last winter. I haven’t yet fixed my rates and to be honest I haven’t even set up my winter diary. To say “merci”, I will be opening bookings to all my lovely regular clients (and there are more and more of you!) on September 1st. Everyone else gets a look in from September 16th. So please save the date and don’t forget to use the enquiry form on this website which means I get all the information required to check availability and quote accordingly.

Have a great summer everybody and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram and Facebook!
