Saturday 28 March 2020, this is Taxi Morzine HQ 12 days into the corona virus lockdown.
It seems ironic to present our fleet to you on a Saturday which is usually the busiest day of the week during the winter season with our vehicles heading twice, sometimes three times, to the airport in one day!
First from the left is the VW 4 Motion Passat which is our licensed taxi allowing us to work at the taxi rank in town and to run our medical side of the business on a year round basis. This comfortable estate car is perfect for private airport and rail transfers for up to four passengers. The 4 Motion means it handles all snowy roads like a dream!
Next along is the first of our VW 4 Motion Caravelles seating up to 8 passengers. Many of you will have been driven by Alain in this minibus over the past four winters. We get many comments on how luxurious and comfortable this minibus is with its leather interior and reassuring four wheel drive mode for those snowy, icy days.
Then we have the Mighty Master which is ideal for groups and families travelling together as it seats up to 15 people. We have a trailor for this vehicle (not in the photo) for all luggage, skis, and bikes if required. The Mighty Master works out very cost effective for larger groups as everyone travels in one vehicle instead of having to book two smaller minibuses.
Watch this space for a new large minibus to be squeezed into the car port before winter 2020/21!
Finally, the lovely white VW 4 Motion Caravelle is Jo’s favourite. 4 wheel drive, automatic and a very smooth ride! This is the same size as the black VW seating up to 8 passengers and with a large boot for all luggage and ski equipment .
(The dark grey yoghurt pot on wheels on the far right isn’t part of our official fleet. Good job really as all you can squeeze in here are two dwarves and half a snowboard).
